We had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The location truly could not have been more perfect, with beautiful views and a convenient distance to shops, restaurants, and local attractions that made getting around incredibly easy. The space itself was exactly as described and made for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Communication with the host was outstanding. They were responsive, helpful, and made the entire process seamless. We felt well taken care of and truly enjoyed our time here. This was one of our favorite stays, and we are already looking forward to booking again in the future.

We had a wonderful time. Everything was as described. Kitchen was fully stocked and had plenty of dishes, glasses, silverware, and cooking supplies. Everything was clean and comfortable. Beautiful views of the sunrise from the deck. Directly on the beach. Just a few steps down the stairs and you were in the sand.

Our family stayed at the property over the holidays and had a great time! The location can’t be beat - right next to the surf city pier and within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. We even walked over the bridge one morning. The house itself was well appointed, plenty big for our group of 7 + 2 dogs, and the hot tub was a great way to relax in the evenings. I highly recommend the property and look forward to returning.

We reserve this house because we have invited to an event near by,but John and Christine made a great job hosting,I’m definitely back just to vacation on he’s house ,we’re just 5 people but very easy accommodate 12 people,thank you so much!

We, I and my 8 family members, had an amazing stay! We traveled with a toddler and two dogs, and the baby gates by the stairs inside and out made the beautiful home feel safer. We all enjoy cooking and were pleasantly surprised by the well stocked kitchen. It had everything we needed as far as pots, pans, utensils, and cups go. The location is perfect, right on the beach on a quiet stretch. All the rooms were very comfortable. We stayed for Christmas and then Christmas tree set up was a very nice, homey touch ❤️ we felt very informed and updated by the host the whole time leading up to and during our stay. We almost exclusively travel with Airbnb and this was one of our best experiences!

It was a quick weekend get away for my wife and I that we had an amazing time. It made us miss living in NC by the beach 😞. It’s a great place in an amazing location to the beach / places to eat and shop. Everything was so much closer than what we thought after reading the description so that was another plus. We got in a little bit early and we were able to check in a bit early so that helped out tremendously and we greatly appreciated that!!!! It was our first time there and we absolutely loved it. When we come back we will try to book Purple Haze again for sure. Amazing from start to finish. Christine was amazing and easy to communicate with at any time we had a question. No issues at all and was an easy time so only getting a few days on the island was spent with no issues and more relax time to enjoy the area. A must place to stay at and enjoy the beautiful property / beach access / local shops / local restaurants all within a few mins walk

This stay at John’s place was exactly what my group was looking for! The house was clean, had a very well-stocked kitchen, and the location couldn’t be beat. Quick drive back to surf city restaurants and shops, then a quiet beachfront oasis at the house. We loved the hammocks, hot tubs, and built in Bluetooth music for the bathrooms! We will absolutely stay here again and highly recommend to others!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The layout of the house and with each bedroom having a private bath made it live larger! The views of the sunrises and the ocean is unmatched. Everyone agreed it was a perfect accommodation (and we have done this multiple years.) The home is well equipped and easy access to the beach!

Our party of 11 had a lovely stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. The home is right on a beautiful stretch of beach and has lots of amenities. Great decks with hammocks and a hot tub. Nice shared living spaces and comfortable bedrooms. The elevator was perfect for elderly or anyone else who has trouble with lots of stairs. Top Sail island is pretty small but there is easy access to groceries and also a few local boutiques/ restaurants to explore. Did an escape room too that was super fun :) Great for families!

Our girls' weekend at John's place in Topsail was amazing. The location is phenomenal, right on the beach and far enough away from the public access points to be quiet and private, especially in off-season November. The view is top-notch and we saw multiple pods of dolphins. We all would absolutely stay again.
